How We Work

Rule one: Our services are Student-Driven. Rule two: we like to work in partnerships. We value the input of parents, teachers, and school administrators. We believe our interests are shared, and we comprise ONE team working together to create bully-free, healing environments of exploration and growth for all.

Student Clubs: Leadership in Action

Healsters student clubs put students in the driving seat and help unleash their creativity in building activities, initiatives and a general culture of respect and mental security that ensures bullying has no place in the school environment.

It’s about CULTURAL Change

While we provide responsive services such as counseling and self-defense training, nixing bullying will mean a cultural shift that requires proactive sustainable efforts such as cultural awareness, governance, & bystander trainings.

Build confidence & sense of belonging

At the heart of bullying is ostracization and isolation. In the reverse, building confidence, self-worth, and a sense of belonging is at the heart of nixing bullying environments and breeding welcoming and nurturing ones.

Our Philosophy

Self-defense is about self-discipline. The most successful defense is to avert physical threats altogether. The second most successful is to protect oneself if in unavoidable danger.
